Cached Content Language Translation Module for Drupal

There are a number of modules or systems that will translate web pages into a variety of languages for free, however when that happens, the resulting page is no longer a part of your website and you have lost control of your traffic.

For example - at the right is a Google Adsense advertisment. When someone clicks that ad, I will get paid a small commission. However, when this page is translated into another language, the URL changes from http://www.webtechnologyqueensland.com/cached-content-language-translati... and now starts with http://www.google.com or whichever translation service you are using.

Wouldn't it be great if there was a way to translate the page into many languages and still keep them on your site and still benefit from advertising revenue. That's what I'm working on - a drupal module that will do just that. The idea is to actually make the translation calls to the api and cache the results and then display them locally when visitors want them - and that way the ads will display because the traffic is still on your site.

If you are interested in being notified when this module is available, please contact me and pass on your details - then I'll include you in the beta testing.
