David Alley

A country pastor with a global reach

“Come with me, on a journey through the Bible that will take 25 years.”

At just 19, David began pastoring a rural Baptist church in Mt Morgan, the once gold-rich town in Central Queensland. For 14 years he shared the ups and downs of life as a country minister in a small town doing it tough — stories he tells in his book Sermons on the Mount.

In those years, back when Google was new, David discovered search advertising as a way to share the gospel online. Within two years, around 3,000 people came to faith and more than 40,000 heard the gospel in about 20 languages, from over 100 countries.

Since 2019 David has been Senior Pastor of Peace Christian Church in Rockhampton, part of the wider Peace Apostolic Ministries family. He grew up partly in Papua New Guinea, where he lived for five years with his missionary parents, and has since ministered across the world.
