Description
Mount Morgan is one of Australia’s most unique country towns, and particularly so if you are trying to run a church. David Alley received a divine call to this community once described as “the poorest white town in Australia.” In answering the call he had no idea what challenges and adventures lay ahead. This book is full of stories, each of which is a “sermon on the mount.”
Staring at just 19 years of age, with a church of 3 people, David managed to empty the church, and found himself starting from scratch. From here his many adventures began including murder threats, midnight baptisms, cursed fig trees, amazing answers to prayer, and meeting a most fascinating cast of real-life characters. Each event recalled also includes truth learned and the author hopes that these ‘sermons’ will give hope, faith and blessing to each reader.
